In response to news that Kyrsten Sinema has left the Democratic Party this morning, the "Primary Sinema" campaign released the following statement: 

"Today, Kyrsten Sinema told us what we've already known for years: she's not a Democrat, and she's simply out for herself. For the last year, we've been laying the groundwork to defeat Kyrsten Sinema because Arizonans deserve a Senator who cares about them, and not special interests. In one way, Sinema just made our jobs easier by bowing out of a Democratic primary she knew she couldn't win. Now, we'll beat her in the general election with a real Democrat." -- the Primary Sinema campaign 

NOTE to journalists on our name: our legal name has been and continues to be "Change for Arizona 2024 PAC." The name of our public facing campaign, Primary Sinema, will be updated to reflect the fact that this is now a general election effort.

About the Primary Sinema campaign: The Primary Sinema campaign was launched in September 2022 to educate the public about the ways Krysten Sinema has let down Arizonans and caved to special interests. To date, the campaign has raised over $500,000 from thousands of grassroots donors. Now, as Kyrsten Sinema has left the Democratic Party, the group's effort will shift toward defeating her in the general election and replacing her with a real Democrat.
